What have you been doing
since graduating / leaving KVA?
Since leaving KVA, I completed my first year of undergrad at Mount Saint Vincent University taking a part time Bachelor of Science. I assumed part time status so I could continue to pursue ballet intensively. I also have also continued to hone my acting skills through classes, workshops and various projects. I am currently working on “Opus for a Miracle’ as a supporting actor/choreographer. I also received the principle role in “Meagan”, a short film produced by Scott Simpson and directed my Caley Maclleghan. I have also been taking voice lessons.
What plans do you have for the near future? Distant future?
I hope to continue pursuing and studying acting and performing in general. I aspire to a career either on stage, film or on television. I will, however, continue to accumulate credits at a steady pace in order to complete my under-graduate degree. I would eventually like to attend graduate school...I think. I don’t really have any definite plans for my future. Presently, I’m just going with the flow.
Have you received any awards?
I received the Governor General’s Award in conjunction with my high school diploma. I have also managed to sustain the Presidential Scholarship which was awarded to me upon entrance to Mount Saint Vincent University.
Any interesting experiences/vacations?
I journeyed to Europe during the summer of 2008, accompanied by fellow graduate and friend Isabelle Therriault. I saw both England and France. The experience was amazing! It has inspired me to continue traveling so I may discover more new and exciting cultures.
What is your current motto/code/inspiring thought or quote?
“Life is like playing a violin in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.”
Samuel Butler
“Only dull people are brilliant at breakfast” Oscar Wilde, An Ideal Husband.
Did your experience of KVA have any particular effect regarding your attitude or life? Was there any lesson that was learned that you found helpful?
KVA has done so much for me. The lessons I learned and continue to learn are infinite. The experience was priceless.
