Where are you living?
New York City, Manhattan

What have you been doing since graduating/leaving KVA?
Majoring in Dance at Fordham University and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

What plans do you have for the near future? Distant future?
Near Future: Continuing with the program and hopefully having some more choreographic and performing opportunities and figuring out what I want to do dance-wise. Possibly minoring in philosophy or psychology.

Distant future: Hopefully dancing in a contemporary ballet or modern company in New York, California or Montreal and after that maybe going to law school or becoming a psychologist. I also want to travel to Europe (Italy and France), Africa and Scotland!

Have you received any awards?
A scholarship for dance, and I’m going to a scholarship recipient ceremony soon.

Any interesting experiences/vacations?
I saw Chris Rock in Starbucks, and stayed in the street of New York with four other people from 4 in the morning until 10 to get Broadway tickets and almost sat on a cockroach. Also taking class with company members from the Ailey company who are amazing. And the day that Obama was elected and people were singing on the streets.

What is your current or inspiring thought?

Is there anything you are pondering, reflecting on, or questioning?
We need to attract more people to Halifax for dance/start a dance program in one of the Universities.
