ASSOCIATION OF PSYCHOLOGISTS OF NOVA SCOTIA'S PRESIDENT'S CHOICE AWARD 2007
AWARDED TO CO-RECIPIENTS: M. RINA OTERO AND TRACEY DEVEREAUX
The "President's Choice Award" is for outstanding contribution to the promotion of psychological well-being, and for excellence in the application of psychological principles in one's field. It is to be presented on June 13, at 7 pm in the Lilian Piercey Concert Hall as part of the Graduation and Awards Ceremony. The concept of King's View Academy and of the GoldlakeSM model of learning in the context of promotion of the performing arts, with an actively all-inclusive policy framework are the indicators of what makes you both deserving recipients of this honour. Ms.Otero, you brought the concept and model to Nova Scotia, and graciously and tirelessly continues to build and maintain the program; and Mr. Devereaux, you exemplify the implementation of the spirit of the program, from personally working for the children above and beyond the call, being an outstanding role model for students and for taking the principles of independent student centered learning further into the community with your current position.
