The GOLDLAKESM Philosophy provides the foundation for the following objectives to be realized:
· Creation of an environment of nurturing and acceptance by which the student realizes that "failure" is the stepping stone to
success. Failure is part of the entire journey - not a place to "give up" and be depressed or defeated, but a place to generate
curiosity, and further resources and possibilities.
· Model proper behavior and response with a genuine heart, gentleness and sensitivity to each situation and individual - a noble
task and endeavor that will demonstrate human excellence and not necessarily perfection.
· Possess confidence to be part of an organic learning process. It requires hard work, much commitment, and a willingness to step
into the unknown. One's vulnerabilities are exposed - definitely an act of bravery and humility - a journey of discovery for
student and teacher.
· Demonstrate ability to help guide the learning process and not control it with personal biases or overlays of assumptions, but help
students arrive at their own conclusions, theories, and discoveries.
